Start your day right by getting up early so you can have so much time preparing for work. Most of us have our usual morning routine before heading to work. Getting up earlier will let you do your usual morning routine earlier too; which also means you will not be rushing to work because you are almost late. Leave your home 30 minutes earlier. There are lots of studies that show that the less rushed you feel, the less stressed you’ll be for the rest of the day. And when you are on your way to work, whether you are taking a walk to work or taking a taxi, take time to smell the flowers. Look at the scenery, it will relax you. Eating your favorite foods will instantly boost your self-confidence and your positive side. If you are working for several hours without eating, you end up feeling more stressed and worn out because your sugar levels are expected to drop enormously. If you bring snacks, you can eat while working on with your tasks. Aside from that, eating your snacks even while working will serve as a break and a detour. The luscious taste of your favorite food will provide positive lifts to you psychologically and emotionally. But remember to eat healthy sugars like fruits rather than junk food. Otherwise you will experience a sugar crash, and you will feel drained once the simple sugars in your system wear off.
- Praise yourself
No matter what other people say, never forget to praise yourself. Commend yourself for a job well done and for the effort you exert. You are not being boastful here; instead, you are being proud of you for working hard and putting in effort. Say it aloud. Talk to yourself. In doing so, you will boost your self-confidence and it can keep your cool amidst your workplace and its madness.

Most people experience stress because they are sitting for long periods of time. As a result, their muscles build up tension. As much as possible, get up from your desk – get a coffee, drink water or make copies. Anything that can keep you away from your desk even for a short while, do it.
